Refunds & Cancellations
Mission City Mental Health and Wellness
At Mission City Mental Health and Wellness, we understand that unexpected circumstances arise and schedules sometimes change. Our goal is to maintain a fair, transparent, and compassionate approach to scheduling, payments, and refunds.
Payment for Therapy Services
Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Fees for therapy sessions that have already been provided are generally nonrefundable, except when a refund is required by law, a billing error has occurred, or other circumstances warrant a refund.
Appointment Cancellations and Rescheduling
We request at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Appointments canceled with at least 24 hours' notice will not incur a cancellation fee.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be subject to a late cancellation or missed appointment fee as disclosed in the client's financial agreement.
We understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances occur. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Provider Cancellations
If Mission City Mental Health and Wellness must cancel an appointment, clients will not be charged for the canceled session.
Any payment collected in advance for a session canceled by the provider will be refunded or, at the client's request, applied toward a future appointment.
Telehealth and Technical Difficulties
If a session cannot take place because of significant technology problems, we will work with the client to determine an appropriate solution, which may include rescheduling the appointment or refunding payment for services not provided.
Refund Requests
If you believe you were charged incorrectly or would like to request a refund, please contact Mission City Mental Health and Wellness through our website.
Refund requests will be reviewed individually, considering the circumstances, services provided, applicable agreements, and legal requirements.
Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method.
Group Therapy Services
Group therapy payments are non-refundable due to absences; however, clients will be offered a make-up session when a similar group is available or the value of that session may be applied towards the price of an individual, private pay session to cover the material that was missed.
