Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: October 21, 2026
Welcome to Mission City Mental Health and Wellness. By accessing or using our website, www.missioncitymentalhealthandwellness.com, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Please read these terms carefully. They explain how our website may be used and provide general information about our virtual mental health services.
1. About Our Services
Mission City Mental Health and Wellness, PLLC, provides virtual mental health counseling services to eligible clients located in Texas.
Services may include individual counseling for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as group therapy and other mental health services offered by the practice.
All professional counseling services are provided in accordance with applicable Texas licensing requirements, professional standards, and clinical judgment.
Information provided on this website is for general educational and informational purposes and is not intended to replace individualized mental health assessment, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. No Therapist-Client Relationship Through Website Use
Visiting our website, reading its content, submitting an inquiry, or requesting an appointment does not automatically establish a therapist-client relationship.
A professional therapeutic relationship is established only after appropriate intake procedures, informed consent, and acceptance for services have been completed.
Submitting a contact form does not guarantee appointment availability or acceptance as a client.
3. Appointment Scheduling
Appointments may be requested through our website or designated scheduling platform.
Appointment availability is subject to clinician schedules, clinical appropriateness, and applicable professional requirements.
We reserve the right to decline or refer requests for services when a client's needs fall outside the practice's scope of services or when a different level of care may be more appropriate.
4. Fees and Payments
Fees for counseling services will be disclosed before treatment begins and documented in the applicable financial agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed upon, payment is due at the time of service.
Clients are responsible for understanding their financial obligations, including any applicable self-pay fees, cancellation fees, and other charges disclosed before services are provided.
Payment processing may be handled through secure third-party providers.
5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments
We understand that unexpected circumstances sometimes arise.
We request at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Appointments canceled with sufficient notice will not incur a cancellation fee.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee as specified in the client's financial agreement.
Exceptions may be considered for emergencies or other extenuating circumstances.
If the practice cancels an appointment, clients will not be charged for services that were not provided.
Additional information is available in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Telehealth Services
Our counseling services are provided virtually through designated telehealth platforms.
Clients are responsible for participating from a private, appropriate location and maintaining a reliable internet connection when possible.
Clients must be physically located in a jurisdiction where the treating clinician is authorized to provide services at the time of each appointment.
Telehealth services may involve limitations, including technological interruptions, reduced ability to assess certain nonverbal cues, and privacy considerations.
Specific telehealth procedures, risks, benefits, emergency planning, and consent requirements will be addressed through the practice's informed consent process.
7. Confidentiality and Privacy
We respect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals seeking mental health services.
Information collected through our website is handled according to our Website Privacy Policy.
Information obtained during professional counseling services is subject to applicable confidentiality requirements, professional standards, and federal and Texas laws.
Where applicable, clients will receive a separate Notice of Privacy Practices explaining the use and disclosure of protected health information.
Confidentiality is subject to legally recognized exceptions, including certain safety concerns, mandatory reporting obligations, and disclosures otherwise permitted or required by law.
8. Services for Minors
Counseling services for children and adolescents are provided in accordance with applicable Texas laws governing consent, parental or guardian involvement, confidentiality, and access to records.
Appropriate consent and authorization will be obtained when required before services begin.
The practice will explain relevant confidentiality considerations to parents, guardians, and minor clients during the intake process.
9. Group Therapy Services
Group therapy programs have separate enrollment requirements, payment arrangements, cancellation policies, and confidentiality expectations.
These terms will be communicated before participation.
Group members are expected to respect the privacy of other participants. However, the practice cannot guarantee that other group members will maintain confidentiality outside sessions.
